Clients are screened and referred to Oak Mountain Missions for assistance by select agencies in Jefferson and Shelby counties, schools in Shelby County, and our faith support churches. Our Process to Help
The Services We Offer

GROCERIES
We are happy to provide you with emergency food assistance while you obtain a referral. Once that referral is received, you will be able to obtain prepackaged groceries once per month. Groceries include, meat, bread, and other essential food items. Special items such as diapers and adult incontinence items can be requested.

CLOTHING
Clients referred for clothing assistance may obtain clothing for themselves and their families once every three months. Once we receive your referral, call us with sizes and we will have clothing preselected for you to pick-up.

FINANCIAL
Clients referred for financial support may be eligible for limited assistance once per year to help with things such as a utility or medical bill. Please note that we do not provide rental assistance and that funds are very limited.

ADDITIONAL
Depending upon your needs and item availability, the Mission may be able to help with household items such as dishes, linens, furniture, and more.
