MAKE A
DIFFERENCE!

Galatians 5:13

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters  . . . use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Get Involved

Volunteers are the heart of this Mission. The Mission has been serving our community for over two decades because of the dedicated service of our volunteers. Each of our volunteers possess a servant's heart and devote their time and talents to serve our community with love and compassion.  Volunteers bag and organize groceries, sort donations, select clothing for clients, provide administrative support, respond to client inquiries, deliver furniture and so much more!

Choose to volunteer on your schedule, one or multiple days. Whatever your schedule, talents, or abilities, you'll love volunteering at Oak Mountain Missions and we need your help.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our food pantry is the heart of our service.  Here we organize, stock, and bag groceries for clients. Families may receive food from the Mission once per month.

CLOTHING CLOSETS

We have four clothing closets for men, women, boys and girls.  Our clothing volunteers help families experiencing clothing insecurity.  They select gently used clothing based upon size, age, and style preference which helps client self-esteem! Families  are able to receive clothing four times a year so the clothing closets are always busy.

Our front office volunteers touch every client and service provided at the Mission. We have volunteers who greet clients in the parking lot when they arrive, answer client phone calls to help them receive needed support, coordinate special programs at holidays, and maintain service data for the Mission.

LINEN CLOSET

Our linen closet volunteers sort and organize bath towels, bed linens and more. These items are then provided to clients based upon their needs.

Christmas Presents

HOLIDAY JOY

We make clients feel valued and loved throughout the year and especially during holidays with special support at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. Volunteers help to coordinate these projects, sponsor children and teens for Christmas and so much more.

On Saturday mornings, volunteers  with our 3 Souls and a Truck Ministry delivery furniture to clients specifically referred for furniture from agencies such as the Dept. of Veteran Affairs.  These volunteers help deserving clients begin life a new!

SERVICE PROJECTS

There are a variety of service project opportunities for churches and other organizations. Service projects have included packaging backpacks with school supplies, painting, holding grocery or toy drives and so much more.  We need volunteers to help plan, organize, and oversee these service projects.
